Now if you cast your mind back for a few days I issued the free domain challenge asking you, dear readers, to try and register the best/funniest/daftest free dotTK domain for your or someone else blog. I got the ball rolling and got labourspin.tk to redirect to Kezia’s blog, and in return Scottish Unionist got cybersquatter.tk to redirect here (a nice touch).

These domains are free and will stop redirecting after 90 days.

The Lloyds-HBOS domains registered by “Ray Blake”are a different kettle of fish. “Ray” saw the crisis in the banking industry and he thought to himself...well yes thousands are going to lose their jobs, and bank customers are going to be feeling uncertain, so seeing all this going on, well, I think I`ll register probable company names of the new bank and try and cream in some money from advertising on the sites and then hold the sites to ransom when the bank comes looking for them.

Always nice to see there are folk out there looking to profit from the misery of others.

I would suspect that the banks will get their hands on the domains after a dispute resolution process which I hope will cost “Ray Blake” (if it is indeed a real name that has been registered) at least what he has made from advertising on the site.

To my mind “Ray Blake” is a toilet.
